A photo of Army biologists was on a list of images to be purged, seemingly because it mentioned they were recording data about fish that included their gender.
Jesus, they're going through and "purifying" all the different government archives. This is gonna do irreparable harm to our knowledge of history. Utterly vile
They're also removing pictures of a Medal of Honor recipient from World War 2. His crime? Being Hispanic. Because being Hispanic and being awarded the MoH posthumously is obviously DEI. From that infamous time of DEI awards, 1946.
The Enola Gay is still mildly radioactive, so I can’t help but think “Hot gays in your area ready to bang”

That automated program flagged at least tens of thousands of historical photos, most of which aren't as silly as 'haha plane gay' but of actual people (some of whom are still very much alive) in a blatant attempt to literally whitewash American history. Like, they've flagged the photos of literal Medal of Honor recipients because their skin tone is darker than eggshell, this is objectively horrifying. The loss of even one of those files is completely disrespectful on a number of levels
