I have no idea why I never post in this thread.
Greetings comrades.
Hugo Chavez was mentioned in the news today so I must post my favorite image of him.
Has anyone else been extremely burnt out, stressed, and depressed lately? I feel like I’m falling behind and I don’t know who to turn to. I can’t take breaks or vacations. I’m very tired.
I wish there was more I could do for myself, my community and my health. I’m just very tired.
Got an interview with a job on Malta. Lowest possible pay is too low to accept, but if they offered the highest one, it may be an option (a financial blow still tbh). The rents are higher, but there's SO MUCH MORE housing than in Ireland and the quality is also much higher. I'd probably get super skinny from the lack of convinience vegan meals (or at least it's implied it's not very available through an online search).
The recruiter referred to people like me as expats. I hate the term. I don't consider myself having a native country. I am culturally and ancestrally mixed. I am always seen as non native wherever I go. I am an immigrant, not an expat.
I realized why turning off notifications works for some people and not me for reducing tech use. At one time I got many discord notifications, on another Instagram. Now all the notifications I get (on the off screen of my phone) are texts that I often don’t feel like responding to. Meanwhile I’m in the habit of constantly checking things like Lemmygrad because someone just might have replied to me. Lack of notifications don’t deter me because I’m used to opening my phone and refreshing. Suppose I should re-declutter.
The epitome of human progress that is the Dutch Green/Labor fusion posted a poster for Womens Day yesterday. On it were a satisfyer, birth control measures and a clitoris.
Throwback to my previous surgery in Germany. The surgical site was infected making the healing impossible. At some point I was bleeding so hard I decided I'm gonna try to sleep it off, because I thought I'd die if I tried to get to the hospital due to the movement possibly making the bleeding worse. The next day I went to the hospital. I lost so much blood I was barely functioning, but they did a blood test from many vials regardless. The surgical site looked awful. They found it was infected... And then didn't get me anything for the infection saying the infection rate was too low. So I spent over a month not healing because my body was cut up trying to recover from that AND the infection. I had to go to a regular doctor to get something for the infection, but he couldn't prescribe me the right treatment... Because it can only be prescribed by a hospital. I still have issues with the surgical site to this day.
Oh, and they prescribed me sitting in very shallow baths. When I said I don't have a bathtub they recommended me to get a plastic bowl big enough to sit in. Like I can magically spawn one at my home. I could barely move. Not to mention how hard it would be for a person in my state to get up from something like this or even to lift it to empty it. Ironically, the whole ordeal was by far my best experience with German healthcare. :)))))))))))))))
Kind of funny that there are those in West that still cling onto the notion that Chinese production is inferior while over here people say if you want shit done you call China lol
Just saw a humongous dodge ram pickup, with a Z painted after the "ram" (in font the size of my head), and a "Biden is a Schmuck" sticker on the rear window. I live in Russia, not USA.
To those who I've not responded to and were waiting for a reply, apologies but I won't get round to it this time. My unread messages are in the several hundreds. It's time to mark all as read and start again!
Despite the [German–Soviet] pact, Communist resistance started very quickly in the Pas‐de‐Calais. The particular circumstances of the Forbidden Zone allowed for an independence of action that Auguste Lecœur and Julien Hapiot were able to take maximum advantage of. They decided, in August 1940, to begin organising illegal Communist activity against the occupying forces.7

Thus, the Communists of the Pas‐de‐Calais began their anti‐German propaganda very early on. Nevertheless, the Communists of the region did not think of themselves as disloyal to their party and their confidence in the Soviet Union was as strong as ever, it was simply that the daily reality of the Forbidden Zone pushed then more rapidly to a more anti‐German position than their comrades elsewhere.
Any word on what's happening in Niger? Last I heard, they kicked the French out, but there was also a matter of yankee military presence. Which AFAIK did notget kicked out
Ordered a box of native flower seeds to spread around the city in an attempt to add some greenery to it. Also for my window sill in my appartment to look at pretty bees and stuff.
Still no call regarding the surgery. I bet they don't even work anymore. I genuinely don't even believe I'll ever get the call. This is madness. I am cursed.
I feel so disappointed when I'm having a discussion with my friends/family and they say something liberal/imperialist. I know they can do better than that.
A lot of bombs landing here tonight
Killing more resisters of your endless occupation
You bomb Gaza every day and night
The death they bring escorts a slew of martyrs to salvation
You air-dropped food just yesterday
Hoping to find some peace of mind by dropping stacks of MRE’s
Now your snipers watch that food and say, ‘Hurry boy, it’s waiting there for you!’
Palestine’s become a human barbecue
So many homes you’ve plundered and their families shattered too
We live in pain under martial law
Genocide’s the crime that undoes everything you have
Your Yahweh feeds on hate and spite
And he grows restless longing for some sanguinary gluttony
His orders are to smash and smite
As sure as murder and sorrow rises from the puss of your own history
You cannot thrive with apartheid
Try and you will meet the fire that comes
Palestine’s become a human barbecue
So many homes you’ve plundered and their families shattered too
We live in pain under martial law
Genocide’s the crime that undoes everything you have
(musical interlude)
‘Hurry boy, food’s waiting there for you!’
Palestine’s become a human barbecue
So many homes you’ve plundered and their families murdered too
Here stands Hamas here stands Hezbollah
Here stands Hamas here stands Hezbollah (here stands Hamas)
Here stands Hamas here stands Hezbollah (here stands Hamas)
Here stands Hamas here stands Hezbollah
Here stands Hamas here stands Hezbollah (here stands Hamas)
Genocide’s the crime that undoes everything you have
Man I just got dog piled on an argument over voting. I get it's a hot topic in this community but having people call me a fascist and telling me to die in Barbara pit is a fucking mood killer. Is voting really deserving of such hate? Was it an argument that got too heated? Is it normal to experience this from fellow comrades over a small disagreement or is the issue really as defining of a person as it was made to seem?
