Yes this is true, they're a talent management company. A couple months back Night Inc also bought The Roost bringing H3, Phillip DeFranco, Ludwig and others under their umbrella too.

Been a lot of controversy around him in past weeks. I dont watch him, and while I am a fan of his charity work, it was an interesting read.

His charity work while mostly good is purposely misleading, makes kids believe all his money for those videos is coming from YouTube/sponsors when I'd wager the majority of it is coming from his branded merch and those that sign up and pay for the chance to be in his videos. Like playing the lottery with extra steps. Could be worse sure, but his base largely doesn't understand how it works.

I just wrote a marketing plan for a company selling ESG data solutions to $1B+ businesses. Its likely going to be a big topic in the coming years.
