Only Satan would design a hole that is smaller than the end of a bent paperclip when the entire purpose of the hole is to put something into it.
94ReplyI just realized that each phone comes with one and only one of SIM ejectors, and I have a lot of those in my drawer. I think I have a problem. -_-
59ReplyI keep one on my keys since it's useful for pushing reset buttons and things and if I really need to it even works as a screwdriver
39ReplyI have a lifehack for this:
19ReplyI noticed my phone battery bulging just yesterday. So I went and dug up the documentation that came with it to see if I could take advantage of the manufacturer's warranty. No dice, but the sim card tray ejector thing was in with the user's manual. So at least I have that. :/
18ReplyI have like 7 of these in a container next to me. I don't think responsible is the word that would be associated with that behaviour.
PS - paperclips work fine for this purpose.
17ReplyI'm very responsible
17Reply 16ReplyI mean, they fit on a keychain, which is fucking great; Sadly, they stab you through the pants pocket so they're fucking rude.
14ReplyI do tech support, I always have one on my keychain.
14ReplyI just bought a new phone and put it next to the other four I have.
12ReplyNow what is that?
11Replyi usually grab a breadboard jumper wire and shove it in my sim card slot 😂
11ReplyiFIXIT kits include a bit that lets you eject sim trays
11ReplyI have a Moonlander split keyboard that is programmable and uses one of these little things for its reset button. My only gripe with it is that they could have designed a place for it to slot into the keyboard itself since it's very easy to lose it if it isn't otherwise attached to something.
10ReplyYay, what's my prize?
10ReplyI fixit gang. If you did not know, some of the ifixit kits have a screwdriver bit that is just for that
9ReplyWhat if we're sure it's around here somewhere, just not sure where?
9Replyaka fancy paperclip
9ReplyYou guys aren't just using eSIMs?
9ReplyI still have it and now phone is eSIM only. But I can’t bring myself to throw it out.
8Replythis made me feel good about myself, thanks
8Reply....I used mine to clean my ears.
8ReplyI have a screwdriver bit set that just includes one of those, very tightly secured. Whoever was responsible for ensuring this was neccessary: You are a hero.
8ReplyWe have a whole keyring full of them at work
8ReplyI have something like 100 of these in a draw in my home office. Along with a straightened paperclip as a backup.
8ReplyI'm responsible for a lot of things
7ReplyJust tuck it into your phone case if you can. Easy solution to always have it when you need it.
7ReplyHow often are you dudes changing SIMs? I only ever do it when I get a new phone, and they always come with one.
7ReplyI put mine on the keychain.... It's responsible for some small holes in my trousers pockets and I have been pricked too but worth it.
7ReplyI may have found 5 in my desk drawer the other day...
7ReplyThere's always the trusty toothpick
6Replydisorganized paperclip gang sound off!
6ReplyI am not responsible for most of the random stuff I own, but at least for that thing I found a good place. I keep it between the back of my phone and my phone case. I have to remove the case anyway to access the slot, and then it is just right there available.
6ReplyThis is why us millennials keep our phone boxes
6ReplyI've always just kept it in my case, against the back of my phone.
6ReplyPaper clip is better, these things are very flimsy, but also phones and Tablets don't always come with them.
6ReplyI have many of them. At least 4.
6ReplyI have plenty around the house. When I needed it, I still had to find something else to use because I had no idea where this was.
6ReplyI keep mine in my phone case.
6ReplyClip gang unite!
5ReplyI never kept mine and used a needle instead
5ReplyI have at least 6 in my office right now, and another 2 or 3 around my house, and one in my truck...
I will not be taking any questions at this point.
5ReplyMine are all still in their boxes which I still save for no reason as I never ever will use them. Whenever I need a pin, I can't find a single box, but the boxes are always in the way when I try to find something else. It's a weird world we live in.
5ReplyWallet, coin part with a zip to keep it safe. It sits next to a random quarter i was given as change (im from the uk and it was given in place of a similar looking uk coin) a silver 1 pence coin (apparently they are rare and worth about £60 but as if my lazy arse is gon a sell it (and who actually buys these things anyway?) Some guitar picks and a franc (defunct french currency)
5ReplyI got a Sony Xperia III last month. You can use a fingernail with it since the tray also holds your SD card
5ReplyI store mine between my phone and phone case.
5ReplyI use a heroin syringe.
4ReplyI scotch-taped it on my desk, I'm looking at it right now...
4ReplyEvery time I get a delicate tool like this, it goes in a jar that sits on any random shelf in the house. You still have to go looking for the jar, but they're all there.
I have 6 now, 3 from my own phones and 3 from my wife's since we've been together. The oldest is coming up on 6 or 7 years old now.
I think I still have the shitty stamped multitool from a bike I put together as a teenager somewhere in the garage...
4ReplyLow bar
4ReplyI have two of those. One's from my old phone.
4ReplyI keep mine in the same container with all my electronics screwdriver bits, seems like the sensible place for it to be
4ReplyGoes great on a Keychain
4Replynope, just a hoarder :)
4ReplyIfixit screwdrivers come with a bit for that.
4Replya little repair kit with all these type of things are fuckin invaluable
3ReplyI can only imagine NileRed putting this in his box of radioactive watch hands
3ReplyIf I have 5, what does that make me?
3ReplyI still have this, but I have adhd so I have no idea where it is whenever I actually need it.
3ReplyI just use a needle or something similar
3ReplyI just use a paperclip. Most offices/shops/pharmacies deal with papers and have paperclips nearby. Keep in mind if youre traveling :)
3ReplyPermanently Deleted
3ReplyMother fucker. I have one of these that I've been playing with all week, swearing to GOD if I don't put that shit away it's gonna vanish.
I just put it away where it belongs so I don't lose it.
3Replywhat is that
3ReplyHad to use a paperclip for mine. Didn't even come with one.
3ReplyI keep one on my keychain, never know when you need to get a burner.
3ReplyI keep mine in the back of my phone case. Easy way to never lose it haha
3ReplyI just put mine on my key chain
3ReplyI have an entire kit for tinkering with phones, and this is one of the tools it includes.
3ReplyThese are the only reason I don't throw away phone boxes
2ReplyI used to work for Asurion, I got a dozen of them you can have .
2ReplyIts in the paperwork for your SIM card or for your phone. Both is stored with other paperwork either in a file cabinet or a filing folder.
2ReplyI bought a pack of a hundred of them and put several everywhere I thought I might look for one.
2ReplyI've always liked the ones that come with OnePlus phones. Can't link (?) but they look like long smiley faces.
2ReplyNever. My current and all previous phones have toothpicks stuck in the holes and knife marks all around the sim tray.
2ReplyIn my last two phones I have used eSIM, but I still have 6 of these in a neat row on a magnet above my desk.
2ReplyI have this somewhere does that count?
2ReplyI bought a box of them on AliExpress
2ReplyTool cabinets are a marvelous thing. I have a little thing squirreled away in a drawer of other tools, just the top of a box that a screen protector came in, that is just full of tiny specialized precision tools that I very seldom need.
2Replyyup. just needed it the other month and paperclipped it after searching in vain for an hour or so.
2ReplyI have a few of them.
2ReplyI have had one i keep on my keyring for 6 years. Recommended
2ReplyBuy a goddamn sewing kit
1ReplyHeard this fall off my side table like 4 days ago and haven’t located it yet lol
1ReplyI have a few at home and a few at work. I don’t need them much anymore with esims, but a few of our users still have older phones.
1ReplyFucking US iPhones and their eSIM only design 😭
1Replyit's simple keep the box in you're cable cupboard (am trying to spawn British people /j)
1ReplyMeh, I already keep a small paper clip in my wallet for clogged vapes, controller resets, SD cards, etc.
1ReplyI have several. Not responsible, just ADHD.
1ReplyI have mine on my keys
1ReplyI've lost them before I've even used them.
1ReplyNot responsible, I just work at Geek Squad
1ReplyHave mine sitting in a dish on my desk right in front of me. It's what I use to pop off our Arlo doorbell to bring inside to charge it back up when the batteries are low.
1ReplyI don't have mine, but I kind of do, most bit sets for electronics include a bit for Sim card ejectors.
1ReplyIn a bag with charger and other accessories. Don't recall actually using it more than once. Paper clips are the traditional solution.
1ReplyEarring gang where you at
1ReplyI'm not a responsible person, though, I'm too lazy to move that shit around often to have it lost outside my closet...
1ReplyI keep mine on my keys :)
1ReplyI think I still have the one from my last phone too
1ReplyNot only i have one, i once made use of it to someone on a bus ride who randomly needed to swap the sim card. I happened to sit next to him.
1ReplyHave it on my keys for years, never lost it.
0ReplyYou guys don’t have eSIM yet?
