I'm not defending AI, but I've seen Excel manage worse on its own. Granted, it's almost always my fault for not fully understanding the enigmatic systems that power its logic.

5When I was taking my introductory courses in computer science over 20 years ago, they told me to not use Excel if you can avoid it, because it's not very, you know, precise. So I'm well aware that this is an ancient joke. Excel will fuck your data up - AI is just another way to do it.
But it is a potential scifi plot point.
However, I will concede that it's probably not a scifi plot point for too long. Worse things have already happened.

It's kind of funny... everyone using AI right now are just beta testers who aren't getting paid to beta test said AI. Better yet, many people are actually paying subscriptions to be beta testers of said AI. Kind of like buying name brand clothes with their logo on the front and or back.. you're just advertising and not getting paid for it. A bunch of walking billboards lol.
